We even built out our own van and lived on the road for a year! Besides a balanced spreadsheet, one of my greatest joys is waking up in the middle of an unexplored national park in the morning and starting my day with coffee, a book, yoga, and sunshine.

My mom loves to tell people she used to dump junk drawers for me to sort through when I was stressed out as a kid... probably an early sign that I’d be a bookkeeper for small business owners (and possibly some anxiety). In school, I color-coded my notes and rewrote them after class to make them even more organized. I was everyone’s favorite person to talk to before a test because I had neatly printed guides and was always prepared.

To this day, nothing makes me happier than a balanced book for a client and seeing the little green check in QuickBooks.

Okay maybe a good bowl of fruit would make me happier - strawberries, peaches, pineapple - give me it ALL.
